About Dhyāna Yoga & Wellness
My name is Diana Byron and I'm a Kripalu Yoga teacher, Meditation Coach, Herbalist, and founder of Dhyāna Yoga & Wellness. I teach from the heart, informed by my own practice and experiences. I first learned to meditate in the 1990's, when I had the great fortune of studying with an enlightened Buddhist teacher, Rama - Dr. Frederick Lenz. In the years that followed, I studied different forms of Yoga, holistic healing and goddess spirituality.
At Dhyāna Yoga & Wellness, I offer Meditation coaching for individuals who wish to deepen their practice. In our private Facebook group, Women Who Meditate, I offer Group Meditations, videos and other content designed to support and inspire your meditation practice. I invite you to join us!
In practicing Kripalu yoga regularly for several years, I noticed how it greatly enhanced my meditation practice. This inspired me to complete my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbrige, MA. I enjoy showing others how asana (yoga postures) and pranayama (yogic breathing) can help prepare the body and mind for meditation. Private and small group classes are available, both virtually and in-person.
As an Herbalist, I offer natural wellness consultations and workshops in herbal medicine. It was an early love for nature that led me to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Salem State University in Salem, MA. Later in life, when I became a mother, I sought out natural alternatives for health and I was drawn to study Herbalism. After completing an herbal apprenticeship locally, I earned a certificate in Herbalism through Rosemary Gladstar's herbal school, Sage Mountain.
